What is the Summit Section Sponsorship Program?
The Summit Section Sponsorship Program (formerly the Summit “Match” program), is a way for AUA and Sections to support up to four (4) medical students, residents and fellows from each participating AUA Section to attend the Annual Urology Advocacy Summit, where they will participate in a day and a half of national urologic and health policy, hear engaging key note speakers, attend multiple networking events, and advocate on Capitol Hill with patients, researchers, and physicians on key issues impacting the practice of urology and patients with urologic conditions.
What is the Section expected to pay for?
Each section participating in the Summit Section Sponsorship Program is expected to cover transportation and hotel accommodations for up to two (2) medical students, residents, or fellows to attend the AUA Summit. AUA will sponsor an equal number of additional medical students, residents, or fellows (up to 2) to attend. AUA will also provide breakfast, lunch, and the cost of attendance at evening receptions, as well as transportation to Capitol Hill meetings, as needed.

How are individuals selected for sponsorship?
Each AUA Section has its own selection process. All individuals selected by the Section for sponsorship must be members in good standing of the AUA. The AUA does not require any specific selection process and does not have any other eligibility requirements.
When are selections due?
Names of up to four (4) individuals selected by the AUA Section (up to two (2) who will be sponsored by the Section and an equal number to be sponsored by the AUA) to attend the AUA Summit through this program must be provided to the AUA no later than 5 p.m. ET on February 6, 2026. Selections received after 5 p.m. ET on February 6 will not be honored by the AUA due to logistical restrictions.
How does the Section notify AUA of selected participants?
Names of up to four (4) individuals – up to 2 who will be sponsored by the Section and an equal number to be sponsored by the AUA – must be communicated to Jacqueline Clinton-Harris at jharris@auanet.org no later than February 6, 2026. Selections received after 5 p.m. ET on February 6 will not be honored by the AUA due to logistical restrictions.

The 9th Annual Urology Advocacy Summit will take place from Monday, February 23, 2026, through Wednesday, February 25, 2026.

What are the selected participants required to do?
Selected participants are required to attend the full event through the end of programming at approximately Noon ET on Wednesday, February 25 and to participate in scheduled meetings with members of Congress or Congressional staff on Tuesday, February 24.
